The Ramagundam Medical College in Peddapally district has been officially renamed as the Singareni Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) by the State government. The Health Minister, T Harish Rao, announced this on Twitter, stating that it will benefit Singareni employees and their children. The college’s new focus is to provide high-quality medical education and healthcare services to Singareni employees and their families. The government has also introduced a reservation policy for children from Singareni families to be admitted to the college. Additionally, 50 beds in the medical college hospital have been set aside exclusively for Singareni employees’ healthcare needs. This decision highlights the government’s commitment to the welfare of Singareni employees and their families. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took their appeal into consideration, leading to the renaming and other positive changes. The government’s swift action demonstrates its dedication to ensuring that Singareni families have access to quality medical education and prioritized healthcare services.
