The Chaderghat police in Hyderabad have registered a case against unknown people for writing provocative comments on the shutters of shops in the Akbar Bagh area of Malakpet. During a patrol, a local police constable discovered objectionable graffiti on the shutters of some shops in the area.

The constable reported that a few shop shutters in front of Ujale Shah grounds had a message written with black paint, seeking revenge for the demolition of Babri Masjid. The message read, “Black day! We will fight back oh Babri. Revenge is due.” Police are concerned that this graffiti might cause communal tension and disrupt law and order in the city. As a result, the Chaderghat police have taken suo moto action and registered a case under IPC Sections 153A and 505(2). An investigation is currently underway.
