In Karimnagar, Sircilla, Peddapalli, Jagtial, Korutla, Metpalli, Huzurabad, Jammikunta, Godavarikhani, and Ramagundam, pre-Diwali celebrations are being held on a grand scale. Business owners are also preparing to perform Dhana Lakshmi pujas in their shops, gathering all necessary items for the rituals.

This year, markets in Karimnagar are offering a variety of new firecrackers to light up the festival. Several brands, including Standard, Coronation, Classic, Kanara Muruganan, Ayyans, and Avanti, have introduced new types of crackers, creating a competitive atmosphere in the market.

Popular firecrackers like Ultra 240 Shots, Micro Multicolour Shots, Greater Monkey, Multicolour Atlas’s Dazlex, Rockets, and Golden Soldiers are in high demand. Additionally, items like Chichubudlu, Ministar, Reddivers, Green Soldiers, and Digital Zoom are also selling well. However, the prices of firecrackers have risen by 15 to 20 percent compared to last year.

Despite the price increase, local fireworks shop owner G Naveen Kumar expressed satisfaction with sales so far. He noted that sales may see a significant boost by the time Diwali day arrives.

District Fire Officer M Srinivas Reddy issued a safety reminder to the public. He emphasized the importance of taking precautions while bursting crackers to avoid accidents or property damage. He advised parents to ensure their children are careful, to keep water nearby, avoid loose electrical wiring, and stay away from vehicles. In case of emergencies, he urged people to contact the fire department immediately.
