Senior BJP leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to ensure that the activities at the MCRHRD Institute are not affected. In a letter to CM Revanth Reddy, Reddy congratulated him on becoming the Chief Minister and mentioned that there are plans to use a portion of the Institute as the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. Reddy stated that this decision is within the CM’s rights, but reminded him that the HDR Institute was named after Late Dr. Channa Reddy in 1998 as a tribute to his achievements in public life. Reddy also expressed gratitude to N Chandrababu Naidu for establishing the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Memorial Trust in honor of his father.

Reddy emphasized the importance of the MCRHRD Institute, which has become a prestigious Administrative Training Institute over the years. He mentioned that the Institute has trained over 3000 top civil servants from all over the country and requested CM Revanth Reddy to intervene and revive the programme for the All India Services (AIS). Reddy also highlighted the continuation of the programme for the Military Engineering Service (MES) officers.

Reddy expressed his hope that while a part of the premises may be used as the Chief Minister’s Camp Office, the activities and functioning of the MCRHRD Institute will not only remain unaffected but also improve. He concluded by requesting CM Revanth Reddy to consider installing a Bronze Statue of Late Dr. Marri Channa Reddy on the Institute’s premises.
