    Former MLA, Choulapalli Pratap Reddy of Shadnagar organized a grand Independence Day celebration at the BRS party office. The 77th Independence Day was marked by the hoisting of the National Flag, symbolizing the country’s commitment to freedom.

    Before hoisting the flag, tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi and Babasaheb Ambedkar, acknowledging their contributions to the freedom struggle. Choulapalli Pratap Reddy emphasized the importance of the sacrifices made by many noble souls for the nation’s independence. He urged all citizens to have patriotism and draw inspiration from the ideals of youth, promoting progress and unity. The event was attended by TRS party leaders, activists, Pratap Anna Yuva Sena members, and other community members, highlighting the sense of togetherness.

    The Independence Day celebrations also had a political aspect with TPCC State General Secretary, Veerlapalli Shankar addressing the crowd. Shankar asserted that both Modi and KCR are meaner than dictators. He strongly believed that for the country to progress and maintain harmony among its people, the Congress party must come back to power. Shankar organized a massive rally under the Congress party banner in Shadnagar constituency center, where he joined the procession on a vehicle with a disabled person.

    The rally represented the hopes of Congress leaders and supporters to revive the nation’s path to prosperity. Shankar and his party members also participated in ceremonies held in various government offices in town. The festivities included paying homage to freedom fighters’ portraits and culminated in the ceremonial unveiling of the national flag. Shankar passionately recalled the contributions of key figures like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, and Jawaharlal Nehru in shaping India’s destiny.
