K Chandrashekar Rao, the president of BRS, took oath as a member of the Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad. The oath was administered by the Speaker in the presence of the Council chairman and other leaders. Many party leaders and followers were present at the assembly. Rao arrived in a Mercedes and was escorted by party MP J Santosh and MLA T Harish Rao. He had to undergo hip replacement surgery after an accident at his farmhouse, which is why he could not take oath earlier. After recovering from surgery, he decided to take oath on Thursday. Some party leaders did not attend the ceremony due to personal reasons or being out of town.
Several legislators and leaders absent as KCR is sworn in as MLA.
