    The GHMC Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, chaired a standing committee meeting on Wednesday. The committee approved the income and expenditure for March, April, and May 2023, as well as the submission of income and expenditure for June.

    In addition, the committee approved the installation of 1,170 CCTV cameras in lakes/tanks and water bodies under six GHMC zones over two years. This includes the cost of installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance data charges, amounting to Rs 3.75 crore with 18 percent GST.

    The committee also gave approval for the acquisition of 139 properties to widen an 18-meter road from Sai Nagar to MettuGaniGudem on Medak Road. Furthermore, it approved the acquisition of 42 properties to widen a road by 12 feet from Ahmed Cafe Kaiser Kiran Store in Riyasat Nagar-Indira Nagar.

    Other approvals included payments to beneficiaries of Alim Co. for supplying various equipment to senior citizens with disabilities. The committee also sanctioned funds for the Charminar and Serilingampally zones. Additionally, it approved the construction of an old 120-ft link road footpath, fencing, greenery, cycling track, and signboard in the Serilingampally zone under CSR by Sohini Builder for three years till 2026.

    The committee had members from various departments and zones present during the meeting, including the GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose and other officials.
