Two senior Congress leaders, K Jana Reddy and Ponnalla Lakshmaiah, had a secret meeting in Hyderabad. They discussed the political situation in Telangana and the chances of Congress winning the upcoming Assembly elections. Despite the takeover of the state Congress unit by young leaders, Ponnalla and Jana Reddy maintained a good relationship.
During their one-hour meeting, they assessed the prospects of Congress in the upcoming elections. It’s worth noting that both leaders were defeated in the last assembly election. Although they are considered senior leaders in the party, they have not been given significant positions since the party’s consecutive defeats in the 2018 assembly election.
