    Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who just finished visiting the United States and Egypt, came back to Delhi on Sunday night. On Monday, he held a cabinet meeting where high-ranking officials like Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Hardeep Singh Puri were present. Amit Shah updated PM Modi about the situation in Manipur, where there has been violence. The Chief Minister of Manipur, Biren Singh, informed Shah about the “evolving situation” on Sunday and claimed that the government had been successful in controlling the violence to a great extent. On Saturday, Amit Shah held an all-party meeting to discuss the situation in Manipur and was attended by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, MP John Brittas for the CPI(M), and BJP National President JP Nadda.

    On his return to Delhi, PM Modi was welcomed by JP Nadda, Meenakashi Lekhi, Hans Raj Hans, Gautam Gambhir, and other BJP lawmakers at the Palam airport. PM Modi shared pictures of his trip to Egypt on his Twitter account. He also met with Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and interacted with Indian diaspora people.
