HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government has suspended three senior IPS officers due to multiple allegations, including their involvement in a case concerning Bollywood actress and model Kadambari Jethwani.

The officers suspended are former Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu, former Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Kanti Rana Tata, and IPS officer Vishal Gunni.

The suspension orders came after an inquiry into various allegations. One of the main issues was the alleged police harassment of Jethwani and her family. The case against the actress was initially filed by YSRC leader Kukkala Vidyasagar, who accused her of cheating him in a land deal. However, Jethwani later filed a complaint, claiming the case was false and created under pressure from senior police officials.

These officers are former ACP West K Hanumantha Rao and former Ibrahimpatnam inspector M Satyanarayana. An internal inquiry found that the Ibrahimpatnam police had not followed proper procedures during the arrest of Jethwani and her family.
