Awareness programs were recently held in Nagarkurnool district under the Sakhi Center in Koder mandal and Mustipalli village in Peddakottapalli mandal. The coordinator, Sunitha, explained the services provided by Sakhi and emphasized the importance of eradicating child marriages. She encouraged women to use Sakhi services and assured them of support in times of need.
During the program, participants were educated on the various ways to prevent child marriages, including contacting toll-free numbers like 100, 181, and 1098. Sunitha highlighted the importance of reporting any potential child marriages in advance to authorities in order to prevent them. The program was attended by psychosocial worker Arshia and other participants.
Sunitha also emphasized the importance of women standing up bravely in the face of challenges and assured them that the Sakhi Center would support them, even in the absence of evidence. The program aimed to empower women and educate them on the resources available to prevent child marriages in their communities.
