The Agniveer Recruitment Rally (2023-24) began at Sardar Patel Stadium in Khammam. A total of 7,397 candidates, selected after an online test, will undergo physical and medical examinations. This is the first time the rally is being held in Suryapet and the second time in Khammam.
District Collector VP Gautham and Colonel Keats K Das, Director of Recruiting for the Army Recruiting Office, visited the stadium to observe the physical testing procedure. The Collector mentioned that all necessary preparations have been made for the recruitment rally.
Special buses have been arranged for candidates from other districts. Sign boards have been placed to guide them to the stadium from the local TSRTC bus stand and railway station.
Candidates from outside Khammam are provided with free food. From Friday to September 7, entry into the stadium is restricted for walkers, sportspersons, and others due to the recruitment rally. The Collector requested their cooperation with the district administration.
