Hyderabad: The State Panchayati Raj and Tribal Welfare Minister, Seethakka, emphasized the government’s commitment to preserving tribal culture and traditions while ensuring the welfare of the entire tribal community.
Speaking at the World Adivasi Day celebrations held at Banjara Bhavan on Friday, Seethakka highlighted the significant role of the tribal community in conserving forests. She pointed out that they not only preserved these natural resources but also thrived on forest products, leading to a strong and healthy lifestyle. She mentioned that the Adivasi way of life is an excellent example for others who seek happiness.
During the event, cultural troupes from the tribal community entertained the audience with vibrant dance performances. Additionally, they performed pooja rituals for the idols of Sammakka Saralamma Gaddela, Kumram Bheem, and Ranji Gond, showcasing their rich cultural heritage.
The Minister also took the time to visit the stalls set up on the premises of Adivasi Bhavan, where various Adivasi products and handicrafts were displayed, reflecting the community’s unique craftsmanship and traditions.
