Panchayat Raj Rural Development Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Sitakka has instructed District Collector and Agriculture Department officials in Mulugu to expedite the purchase of paddy grain. This decision comes after heavy rains caused extensive damage to crop fields in the district.

Sitakka assured farmers that the government will purchase all grains produced by them, including those affected by the recent inclement weather. The government will also ensure that affected grains are purchased at a support price to alleviate farmers’ concerns. Additionally, the government will cover insurance premiums for crops going forward.

The Minister directed the District Collector and Agriculture Department officials to accelerate the paddy procurement process in Mulugu district. This move aims to support farmers during this challenging time and facilitate the timely purchase of grains.
