AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, who is also a Member of Parliament, has accused individuals of throwing stones at his official residence in Delhi. Owaisi expressed concerns about the security measures in place and pointed out that such incidents occur every few days. He emphasized that if this had happened to a leader from the BJP, there would likely be stronger reactions.
During an interview, Owaisi stated that while houses belonging to Muslims are being demolished, his residence is regularly subjected to stone pelting. He believes that this reflects negatively on the nation’s image. He also mentioned that if a prominent BJP leader faced a similar situation, the response would be significant.
A video capturing the incident at Owaisi’s residence has been circulated on social media, showing broken window panes. However, the individuals responsible have not been identified yet. Authorities have started an investigation into the matter.
According to police reports, two glass panes on the entrance door of Owaisi’s residence were found shattered. No stones or any other objects were discovered near the broken glass. The police are thoroughly examining the surroundings as part of their active investigation.
This is not the first time Owaisi has claimed to have experienced an attack on his residence. In a similar occurrence in February, he asserted that his residence in Delhi was assaulted by unidentified individuals. This marks the fourth incident of its kind since 2014.
