Members of Secundrabad Gurudwara in Hyderabad have requested a change in the name of “Veera Bala Diwas” to “Sahibzade Shahadat Diwas.” They made this request to BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Laxman during his visit to the Gurudwara on December 26, which is celebrated as Veera Bala Diwas. This day is dedicated to Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the sons of the 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, who were martyred while fighting against the Mughals to protect their religion.
Dr Laxman highlighted that despite threats to convert, the two sons of the 10th Guru remained steadfast in their faith and did not give up their religion. He emphasized the importance of preserving and sharing the history of such sacrifices with future generations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to bring to light the valor and sacrifices of unsung heroes who have been overlooked in history. Dr Laxman suggested that representatives from the Panchayat level should visit Gurudwaras and pass on the great history of the country.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy mentioned that December 26 is celebrated as Veera Bal Divas across India to honor the sacrifices made by Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. He also mentioned that Guru Gobind Singh’s elder sons also became martyrs while fighting against the Mughals. The Government of India has recognized December 26 as ‘Veer Bal Divas’ as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavam to ensure that the sacrifice of these two children is remembered by future generations.
Kishan Reddy also announced that the Grand Ram Mandir Pranapritishta Mahotsava will be held in Ayodhya on January 22. He urged all members of the BJP and the public to fully participate and unite the entire society in this celebration. He asked for every temple in the country to be decorated on January 22 and screens to be set up so that devotees can watch the Bhavya Ram Mandir Pranapratishta program. He also requested every Hindu to light lamps in their homes to take part in the celebration.
During his visit, Kishan Reddy took part in a Veera Bala Diwas Rally that was organized from Gurudwara in Ameerpet.
