Hyderabad: The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) on Friday honoured various individuals and groups for their contributions to traffic management and road safety in Cyberabad.
The event was held to recognise the efforts of traffic volunteers, officials from the Traffic Training Institute, good samaritans, and traffic personnel. It also highlighted the strong commitment of the Cyberabad police and the SCSC towards improving road safety.
Awards were given to traffic volunteers for helping manage traffic and ensuring the safety of commuters. Officials from the Traffic Training Institute were also recognised for their role in enhancing the skills of traffic personnel. Good Samaritans were honoured for their selfless actions, and traffic officers were appreciated for their efforts in maintaining order on the roads.
D Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Cyberabad, praised the SCSC for its dedication to promoting road safety. He expressed his gratitude to both the officials and volunteers for their contributions, stating that working together will help create a safer and more peaceful community.
A total of 160 volunteers, including working professionals, students, social volunteers, and representatives from various organisations and hospitals, were felicitated during the event. Many volunteers shared their experiences, saying that their involvement has made them more responsible and committed to the welfare of society.
The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also stressed the importance of community involvement in improving road safety across Cyberabad.
One special recognition was given to Lokendra Singh, known as @hydtrafficman on social media platforms like X and Instagram. Singh is a regular citizen who actively educates the public on traffic regulations and reports traffic violations.
This event served as a reminder of the crucial role that both individuals and communities play in ensuring safer roads for everyone.
