The Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and Cyberabad Traffic Police (CTP) have launched an initiative called Traffic Marshals in Cyberabad IT corridor and other parts of Cyberabad. The first group of 83 traffic marshals has been deployed in the IT corridor and other areas of Cyberabad to help manage traffic flow.
These traffic marshals, who are paid by companies and trained by the police department, are stationed at key intersections to control traffic. The goal of the program is to make commuting easier for residents and create a safe environment for businesses to operate. The traffic marshals are assigned to different police stations within the Cyberabad traffic police.
Avinash Mohanty, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad and chairman of SCSC, expressed gratitude for the support of SCSC and its member companies. He encouraged all companies to collaborate in improving traffic flow in Cyberabad. D Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Cyberabad police and Vice Chairman of SCSC, emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in initiatives like the traffic marshal program.
The traffic marshals work full-time to regulate traffic near busy areas. This allows the Cyberabad traffic police to focus on enforcing traffic rules such as signal violations and driving on the wrong side of the road. The traffic marshals wear a unique uniform with a Traffic Marshal logo and a distinct cap. They are on duty during peak traffic hours, from 8 to 11:30 am and from 4:30 to 9:30 pm.
