South Central Railway Issues Safety Advisory for Sabarimala Pilgrims

To ensure the safety of devotees traveling to Sabarimala, the South Central Railway (SCR) has released a travel advisory. Special trains to Sabarimala are being operated from stations like Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda, Kakinada, Tirupati, and Nanded. These trains will also stop at several stations along the way.

SCR officials have urged passengers to avoid lighting camphor or engaging in similar activities onboard trains. It has been observed that some pilgrims light camphor, perform aarti, and use matchsticks or incense sticks inside train coaches as part of their religious practices. These actions involve inflammable materials and are strictly prohibited, as they pose serious fire hazards. Such activities could endanger lives and cause damage to railway property.
