    Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) held a meeting on Monday to review the safety of train operations across the zone.

    During the meeting, officials focused on following safety rules and procedures. General Manager Arun Kumar Jain led the discussion and reviewed the current safety measures in place. He also looked at the progress of an ongoing safety drive and asked officials to fix any issues as soon as possible.

    Jain instructed the officials to conduct regular safety drives and field inspections. He emphasized the need for safety counseling sessions for staff such as loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, guards, track machine operators, and tower wagon operators. He urged them to strictly follow safety procedures to ensure trains run safely.

    The meeting also included a review of fire prevention equipment like smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Additionally, officials discussed the progress of important railway projects, including traffic facility improvements, track renewal, and doubling works. Jain advised them to speed up these projects to meet the targets for the current financial year.
