Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) held a meeting on Monday to review the safety of train operations across the zone.
During the meeting, officials emphasized the importance of maintaining safety. They were instructed to increase field inspections. These inspections will focus on checking safety-related equipment, including signalling systems, engineering parts, and station assets.
Arun Kumar Jain, the managing director, also discussed the punctuality of the trains. He asked all Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) to prioritize running trains on time, especially during the ongoing festival season.
He further stressed the importance of taking care of passengers by ensuring the availability of food, water, and onboard cleaning services. Jain also mentioned the need to manage the extra rush of passengers by deploying Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff at all stations.
