South Central Railway (SCR) held a meeting on Monday to discuss the safety and punctuality of train operations across the zone.
During the meeting, officials were instructed to strictly follow safety regulations and conduct regular field-level counseling. They were also asked to install at least two height gauges at all Road Under Bridges (RUBs) to improve the safety of railway tracks and underpasses.
Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, stressed the importance of managing crew working hours efficiently. He asked officials to study train movements and adjust crew schedules to ensure that loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, and guards get proper rest.
Additionally, he advised Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) to analyze the process of sending advance alert calls to loco staff before their duty. He suggested making a systematic plan to modify these alert calls so that staff experience minimal disturbance before their shifts.
