South Central Railway conducted a review meeting on train safety and preparedness for the Michaung cyclonic storm. Senior railway officials reviewed the steps being taken to handle the cyclone and checked the reserve stock at different depots. The General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, instructed officials to monitor the cyclone’s path and coordinate with the State government and NDRF teams. They were also directed to patrol the tracks in potentially affected areas. Watchmen were stationed at vulnerable bridges, and the condition of Road Under Bridges (RUBs) was closely monitored.
