    N Balaram Naik, the Director (Finance and Personnel) of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), has taken on the additional role of chairman and managing director (CMD) of the company. He assumed office at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Naik expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He stated that his aim is to make SCCL a leading company in the country in various aspects, including opening new mines and generating thermal and solar power. Naik also mentioned that SCCL has no shortage of coal and is prepared to provide power to Telangana state even during peak consumption.

    Naik emphasized that the welfare of workers is a top priority, as directed by the state government. He also highlighted the importance of developing nearby villages and expanding social responsibility programs. Naik assured that any vacancies within the company will be identified and filled promptly.

    To achieve the target production of 700 lakh tonnes for this year, Naik stressed the need to increase productivity. He called for cooperation between officials, employees, and trade union leaders to support the management in achieving this goal.

    Several officials congratulated Naik on his new role, including SCCL former Director (Finance, Personnel) Pavithran Kumar, UP Cadre IAS Officer Srinivas, Central Coal Fields Chairman, and Kolindia Director (Technical) B Veera Reddy, Singareni Directors NVK Srinivas (Operations), G Venkateswara Reddy (Projects and Planning), ED (Coal Movement) J Alvin, GM (Coordination) M Suresh, GM (Safety) Guravaiah, General Secretary of Singareni Officers’ Association NV Rajasekhara Rao, and other officials.
