    SCCL CMD Plants 18,500 Saplings to Protect the Environment

    Kothagudem: SCCL CMD N Balaram took an inspiring step toward environmental conservation by personally planting 209 saplings on Sunday at the Singareni Thermal Power Station in Jaipur, located in Mancherial district. This effort brought his total count of saplings planted to a remarkable 18,500.

    Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the increasing threat of natural disasters like floods and droughts, which are being caused by rising carbon emissions and global warming. He emphasized the urgent need for humanity to act and protect Mother Earth by planting saplings.

    Balaram shared that he has planted large numbers of saplings in over 40 locations across six districts. Out of these, more than 35 locations have transformed into thriving mini forests. He expressed his satisfaction, noting that over 90% of the saplings he planted have grown into trees.

    During his visit to the Singareni Thermal Power Station, Balaram planted another 209 saplings in a vacant area, marking a significant milestone in his mission. He revealed that he regularly monitors the growth of the saplings through geo-tagging technology from his office.

    The SCCL CMD urged everyone to take the responsibility of planting and nurturing saplings seriously. He stressed that environmental destruction poses a greater threat to the world today than wars and called for collective efforts to protect the planet.
