Hyderabad: The Union Budget 2025-26 has introduced key reforms aimed at strengthening the nation, including investments in technology and infrastructure, as well as simplifying tax slabs and duties. The budget also focuses on enhancing the country’s healthcare system. It includes provisions for cancer day centers, medical education, and customs duty exemptions on life-saving drugs. Additionally, initiatives like promoting medical tourism and the ‘Heal in India’ program aim to boost the healthcare sector further, Reddy stated.

Another key aspect of the budget is its emphasis on fostering innovation and research. Reddy appreciated the government’s continued focus on private sector-driven research and development, which was first announced last year. New measures to encourage digital education, scientific curiosity, and innovation among the youth, along with establishing centers of excellence for skill development, were also welcomed. These efforts align with the vision of ‘Make for India, Make for the World’ in manufacturing.
