Virat Kohli is a great cricketer who is always pushing himself to be better, according to Sanjay Bangar, the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli has been in good form during the IPL 2023, scoring 279 runs in seven matches. Bangar praised Kohli’s training regime and his desire to address any issues that arise.
RCB’s top order has been performing well, but their middle order has struggled to contribute consistently. Bangar explained that if the top four batsmen are getting most of the balls, there is little work left for those who come in later. However, he would like to see more contributions from the middle order. He also noted that the wickets have slowed down during day games, which makes run-making more difficult for all batsmen.
RCB will play their penultimate home game against Kolkata Knight Riders before embarking on a long tour with five away games. They will return to Chinnaswamy Stadium to play their last IPL 2023 group stage match against Gujarat Giants on May 21. Kohli will be keen to make amends for his golden duck in RCB’s win over Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
