Wrestlers Sakshi Malik and Satyavrat Kadian released a video explaining their involvement in the movement against the departing President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Kadian denied accusations that they were influenced by Congress party leader Deepender Hooda and showed approval from BJP leaders Babita Phogat and Tirtha Rana. The Khap Panchayat made the decision to hold the Mahila Mahapanchayat on May 28, and the wrestlers returned their medals to their families and coaches. They stated that their battle was only with Singh, who had made mistakes while serving as President.

Malik addressed why they had remained silent, citing a lack of unity among wrestlers and the pressure faced by a minor girl who gave conflicting statements. Kadian requested not to pay attention to rumors that the Khap Panchayat was upset with them and apologized if they made any mistakes. They thanked supporters of the movement and asked for continued support in the future.
