The Saksham (Samrakshan Kshamatha Mahotsav) 2024-25 campaign has begun to spread awareness about fuel conservation. The campaign, which started on Friday, will include various activities to encourage oil conservation. These activities include training sessions, quizzes, debates, technical workshops, concerts, talent shows, and competitions for fuel-efficient cooking and driving. Additionally, a walkathon will be held on February 16, and a cyclothon on February 23.

The inaugural event took place at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, where Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma attended as the chief guest. Many schoolchildren participated, holding placards with messages like “Stop wasting oil and gas,” “Save oil,” and “Oil is like time; once gone, will never come back.” Their signs also encouraged tree conservation.
