The State Government has started giving money to farmers through the Rythu Bandhu benefit. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made the decision to deposit the money directly into the farmers’ bank accounts after a meeting with finance and agriculture officials. The Chief Minister also asked for a plan to be made for the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver scheme promised by the Congress in their election manifesto. The Chief Minister reviewed the agriculture department for more than four hours and discussed the challenges faced by farmers, including the Rythu Bandhu benefit and the need for funds for the loan waiver scheme. Officials said that the benefit will be given to small farmers first, and those with more land will receive it based on availability of funds. The Chief Minister wants to make sure that farmers are not inconvenienced by any delays. The Chief Minister also decided to change the Praja Darbar to Praja Vani and hold it every Tuesday and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm at Praja Bhavan. There will be separate lines for disabled and women at the Bhavan.
