Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has given a three-month deadline to complete the land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road (RRR). During this time, the tenders will also be finalized.
The Chief Minister has instructed officials to resolve any obstacles in the land acquisition process for the RRR, which will be built outside the ORR. For the past nine months, there has been no progress in acquiring the land, and no attempts have been made to address the issues raised with the National Highways Authority (NHAI). As a result, the RRR project was halted by the previous State government.
The CM has directed officials to complete the stalled land acquisition within the next three months and to also invite tenders for the RRR (North) works along with the land acquisition. The NHAI has been asked to declare the RRR (South) portion as a national highway and prepare a plan for further land acquisition. The government is willing to bear any financial burden to ensure the completion of the regional ring road.
