The officials in Rangareddy district met to discuss and plan the upcoming Praja Palana programme. This is the first public approach of the Congress government since coming into power. The meeting was chaired by Additional District Collector Bhupal Reddy and attended by officials from various departments. The officials were instructed to prepare a special plan for the programme and ensure that people’s grievances are addressed without causing any inconvenience. The programme will take place from December 28 to January 6, with two village panchayats having meetings each day to address public grievances in rural areas. The officials were also told to raise awareness about eligibility for government schemes. The Praja Palana programme was created to reduce the influx of people at Praja Bhavan and allow them to approach local officials. Revenue and Panchayat teams will set up counters to receive public grievances in two phases each day. Publicity for the programme should be given in advance in municipal wards and villages. Municipal Commissioners and officials from various departments were present at the meeting.
