District Collector K Shashanka emphasized the need to speed up the process of handling complaints. He advised officials to keep proper records of both applicants and those with grievances. He also stressed the importance of resolving issues in a timely manner to prevent a backlog of complaints. These remarks were made during the weekly ‘Prajavani’ program held on Monday. Many people from different areas of the district participated and submitted their concerns.

A total of 78 complaints were received, mostly from rural areas. It was noted that most of these complaints were related to revenue matters and government schemes. The collector instructed officials to prepare action taken reports for transparency. He said officials must have all necessary data and reports ready during the Prajavani program to ensure grievances are addressed efficiently.

In addition to this, officials were told to regularly monitor the performance of government hostels in the district. They were asked to keep complete information on how the hostels are functioning. Special officers were instructed to be present in the designated gram panchayats at least three days a week to make sure public grievances are resolved on time.

The collector also called on officials from the Education, Social Welfare, Backward Classes (BC), and Minority departments to keep a close watch on the hostels and ensure everything is running smoothly. He said a report on the performance of the special officers should be submitted weekly for review and assessment.
