Rangareddy district, with a population of over 36 lakh, is getting ready to start a door-to-door family survey beginning on November 6. This information was shared by district officials, who have been making preparations for the survey. The newly appointed District Collector, C Narayana Reddy, held a meeting with officials on Tuesday to ensure everything goes smoothly for the survey.
The main goal of the survey is to collect important information about families in the district. This includes details about their social, economic, educational, caste, employment, and political backgrounds. The Collector emphasized that the information gathered will play a key role in implementing government schemes. He also reminded the employees involved in the survey to perform their duties responsibly and avoid negligence.
The Collector further stressed the importance of coordination among the officials and staff during the survey to prevent any errors. Proper teamwork will ensure that the enumeration process is accurate and efficient.
After the meeting, the Collector participated in a training session for the enumerators, Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs), and Municipal Commissioners. During the training, he gave clear instructions to the officials to make all the necessary arrangements for the survey.
He also urged MPDOs and Tahsildars to be careful when selecting enumerators for the task. The enumerators should be well-prepared with maps of the areas they will be working in and should have the proper question forms. Additionally, after completing the survey, they will need to place stickers on the houses they visit. Municipal Commissioners will be responsible for overseeing the arrangements in their areas and addressing any issues that come up. The Collector added that special care should be taken in areas where revenue villages and Gram Panchayats have been merged to prevent any problems.
