Royal Challengers Bangalore Signs Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, and Chris Gayle Before RCB Unbox Event

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is set to host its Unbox event on Sunday, where former players AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle will be honoured for their contributions to the franchise. The event will also see the retirement of their jersey numbers as a mark of respect towards the legendary cricketers. Both players have been an integral part of RCB since the inception of IPL, with de Villiers joining the team in 2011 and Gayle in 2011 after being released by Kolkata Knight Riders. De Villiers played for RCB until 2021 and scored 4522 runs in 157 matches, including two centuries and 37 fifties, while Gayle played 84 games for the team, amassing 3163 runs with five tons and 21 fifties. RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, will start their IPL 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 1.
