The Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam district started celebrating Sri Rama Navami with religious ceremonies. Devotees, especially women, joined in the Vasanthotsavam and Dolothsavam rituals with prayers and colors.
During the festivities, priests performed special prayers like ‘Kalasa Puja’ at Uttardwaram and made talambralu using auspicious ingredients. Temple Executive Officer L. Rama Devi mentioned that 300 quintals of rice would be used for Akshintalu this year. The celebrations included installing festival idols at the Nitya Kalyanam Mandapam, offering hymns to the deities. Dolotsavam featured Lord Rama dressed as a bridegroom, followed by Tiuruveedhiseva and Sri Laxmi pujas in the evening with many women devotees participating.
The temple’s lively atmosphere enhanced the spiritual significance of the event, leading up to upcoming events like the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita, and the Coronation scheduled for April 17 and 18.
