    Hyderabad: The South-East zone traffic police, in partnership with ICICI Lombard and TRAX S Society, a road safety NGO, organized a ‘Ride to Safety’ campaign on Wednesday. As part of the initiative, helmets provided by ICICI Lombard were distributed to police personnel and their children near Bandlaguda police station in Chandrayangutta.

    Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, P. Viswa Prasad, attended the event and expressed his gratitude to TRAX S Society for their efforts. During the program, 240 pairs of helmets were sponsored and distributed by the NGO. TRAX S Society also highlighted the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers to prevent head injuries and fatalities. They used the opportunity to raise awareness about road safety and traffic rules.

    On the same day, the traffic police conducted a special drive near Moghul College in Bandlaguda. During this drive, 60 cases were filed against motorists for violations, including not wearing helmets and driving on the wrong side of the road.

    The event was attended by V. Chandra Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, South-East Zone Traffic; J. Sreenu, Inspector of Police, Chandrayangutta; and other traffic personnel from the South-East zone.
