Indian music composer MM Keeravani received a special response from American pop band member Richard Carpenter after mentioning the sibling duo in his acceptance speech at the 95th Academy Awards. Carpenter and his family sang a rejigged version of their hit song ‘Top of the World’, congratulating Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose on their win for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film RRR. The song was the first Indian production to be nominated at the Oscars. Keeravani expressed his surprise and gratitude for the response, while RRR director SS Rajamouli commented that it was a memorable moment for their family.
