Warangal’s Kakatiya Musical Garden, located near Bhadrakali Lake, used to be a popular recreational spot for locals and visitors. However, over time, the garden was neglected and lost its charm. To address this issue, the government assigned the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) with the task of reviving the garden.
Under a refurbishment plan worth Rs 3 crore, KUDA is working on restoring the musical fountain and constructing a butterfly park, a children’s play area, and space for adventure sports. Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar, Hanumakonda district collector Sikta Patnaik, and KUDA chairman Sunder Raj Yadav recently visited the garden to assess the progress of the ongoing work.
During the visit, Vinay Bhaskar mentioned that there are plans to further enhance the garden by building a convention center and a star hotel. These additions aim to improve the aesthetics and comfort for tourists. Vinay also mentioned that this development will contribute to making Hanumakonda a tourism hub. The visit was attended by Municipal Commissioner Rizwab Basha Shaik and KUDA official E Ajith Reddy, among others.
