The Telangana Revenue Employees’ Association (TRESA) requested a 40% fitment and improved pay scales during a pay revision meeting. The delegation, led by president Vanga Ravinder Reddy and general secretary K Gautam Kumar, discussed the need for better pay in line with inflation with the Pay Revision Committee chaired by Shiv Shankar at BRKR Bhavan.
TRESA leaders highlighted the significant salary gap between revenue employees and those in other departments. They emphasized the high duties and work pressure faced by revenue employees who are involved in emergency services. The association urged the committee to review employee retention methods and address the disparities in promotions.
Specific recommendations included aligning promotion scales for different positions, granting equivalent scales for certain roles in various departments, providing special allowances for field-level employees, and increasing funeral expenses for deceased employees. The association also proposed raising magistrate allowances and increasing vehicle allowances for certain positions.
