Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been critical of the Modi-led NDA government at the Centre. There were speculations that he took this stance out of concern that there was a plot to destabilize his government by the BRS with the help of BJP in New Delhi and YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh.
Sources in Congress say that Revanth’s criticism is based on ideological differences, not governance issues. They believe that Revanth is following the party line during the Lok Sabha polls but still considers Modi as “Bade Bhaiya” in matters of governance. Despite this, KCR continues to make negative comments, unaware of the situation.
The government will wait for recommendations from the delimitation commission before making decisions on district reorganization. Congress leaders believe that the BRS leaders, including KCR, think they are the only ones capable of governing the state. However, they argue that the previous government left behind many problems, such as water shortages and economic struggles.
The BRS government failed to address issues like groundwater depletion and urban planning, instead blaming the current administration for these problems. Congress is now working to improve the economy and address other inherited challenges.
