The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to accept recommendation letters from public representatives in Telangana for darshan at the Tirumala temple. In response, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his gratitude to the AP government and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for honoring tradition and making it easier for devotees to visit Lord Venkateswara.

CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the strong spiritual bond between the people of Telangana and Lord Venkateswara. He pointed out that thousands of devotees from Telangana travel to the temple every day, and this number is steadily increasing. However, he noted that there had been an issue recently, as the Tirumala authorities had stopped accepting recommendation letters from Telangana MPs, MLAs, and MLCs.

To address this problem, CM Reddy reached out to the AP government, requesting them to resume the practice of accepting recommendation letters from Telangana’s public representatives. This would allow more devotees from Telangana to have a hassle-free darshan experience.

Responding positively to the request, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that four recommendation letters per week would now be accepted from Telangana representatives for TTD darshan. He assured Revanth Reddy that the matter had been resolved.

Naidu also clarified the specific arrangements for darshan. MLAs, MPs, and MLCs from Telangana would be allowed two break darshans (priced at Rs. 500 each) and two special entry darshan tickets (priced at Rs. 300 each) per week. Furthermore, each recommendation letter can include up to six devotees for darshan, making it more convenient for the pilgrims.

This resolution aims to strengthen the spiritual ties between the two states and ensure that Telangana devotees continue to enjoy seamless access to the sacred temple.
