The Telangana State Investigation Team (SIT) has issued notices to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief, A Revanth Reddy, to submit evidence regarding the TSPSC Paper Leakage case. As a result, Revanth will appear before the SIT soon. However, in anticipation of a large number of leaders and workers coming to the SIT office, the police have placed many Congress leaders under house arrest to avoid any chaotic situations. Congress senior leader, Shabbir Ali, and Mallu Ravi are among those who have been put under house arrest. The arrests have been made in Hyderabad as well as in the district.
Despite the arrests, many Congress leaders and activists are making their way to Revanth’s residence, as he is scheduled to attend the SIT inquiry. Heavy security arrangements have also been made at the SIT office. However, Congress leaders are unhappy with the government’s response to the TSPSC paper leakage issue. They feel that instead of providing reassurance to worried students, the government is trying to silence the opposition’s voices. Congress leaders have criticized the SIT’s notices to the opposition.
