    Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently announced government support for engineering colleges in the state during the ‘Quality Engineering Education’ programme. He emphasized the importance of the fee reimbursement scheme introduced by the Congress party and urged college management to be familiar with government policies.

    CM Revanth Reddy assured that there would be no fee reimbursement arrears starting from the current academic year. He encouraged colleges to focus on offering courses like civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering that align with future industry needs.

    The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of adapting to emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and suggested that colleges introduce courses related to AI. He announced plans for a Skill Development University and granting autonomous status to certain educational institutions to create employment opportunities and maintain competitiveness globally.

    The meeting was attended by Minister Sridhar Babu, JNTU Vice-Chancellor Burra Venkatesham, and representatives from various engineering colleges who welcomed the government’s efforts to support and enhance engineering education in Telangana.
