Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials of the State Irrigation department to provide a detailed report on irrigation projects in the state. The CM emphasized that the government’s decisions regarding the irrigation sector should be transparent.
In a review meeting at his residence, the Chief Minister discussed the Agriculture and Irrigation sectors with Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageshwar Rao.
The CM requested information from the officials regarding the construction and cost of irrigation projects, as well as the creation of new Ayacut from 1956 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2023.
Revanth stressed that the guidelines for each project should be accessible to the public. He warned officials that they would face severe consequences if they tried to hide project details from the people. The Chief Minister expressed the government’s commitment to transparency in all decision-making processes and urged officials to regularly update the public on decisions and facts.
The CM instructed officials to promptly prepare a comprehensive report on irrigation projects, including the status of ongoing works, and submit it to the government. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Raghunandan Rao, Seshadri, and other officials.
