The president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), Revanth Reddy, stated that four crore people in the state suffered due to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s poor leadership. He added that people had lost their patience with KCR’s “anarchic” rule.
During a gathering at Gandhi Bhavan, BRS senior leader Gangapuram Rajender and former ZPTC Bhimudu Naik joined the Congress party, along with BRS workers from Acchampeta and Charagonda mandals. Revanth Reddy invited them to the party and stated that their addition was a symbol of the anti-KCR political reunification in Telangana.
Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR’s ten-year rule had destroyed the rich state of Telangana, and that KCR had only started his party in 2001 for elections. He hoped that the Congress flag would be hoisted in the Atchampeta constituency in the Nallamala forests and called for Congress to come to power in the state.
Anil Kumar Yadav was sworn in as the Secunderabad DCC president at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday. Revanth Reddy claimed that when the Congress flag was hoisted in Hyderabad, the Congress came to power in the state and reminded everyone that it was the Congress party that brought hundreds of IT companies to Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy urged Congress workers to spare time for the people of Telangana and work hard for the party’s victory. He also met with former Kodangal MLA Gurunath Reddy and visited Kothakota Dayakar Reddy’s family to offer his condolences.
