The chief of the PCC, A Revanth Reddy, has accused the BRS government of breaking the Model Code of Conduct multiple times. The Congress party has filed a complaint with the Election Commission. Speaking in Delhi, Reddy clarified that the Congress is not against providing Rythu Bandhu benefits to farmers. They are demanding that the Telangana government transfer these funds to farmers’ accounts before November 2. Reddy also mentioned that the party has raised concerns about the misuse of official spaces, such as Pragati Bhavan and MLAs’ camp offices. They believe these spaces should not be used for party political activities. The Congress party has also alleged favoritism by officials aligned with the BRS party and has requested the Election Commission to appoint IAS and IPS officers as SPs and collectors in all districts. They have also provided specific officer names who seem to prioritize party agendas over government responsibilities. The Congress party has asked the Election Commission to remove retired officials from service, as some of them are acting as a private army for the BRS party. Reddy has accused the BRS government of attempting to divert attention from the sinking pillars of the Medigadda barrage by claiming sabotage. He believes this incident highlights the government’s failure in the construction of the Kaleshwaram project, showing a lack of proper soil testing and technical adherence.
