Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stated that the State Government is dedicated to making Telangana a hub for medical tourism. He emphasized the importance of providing healthcare as a social responsibility during the inauguration of Medicover Hospital in Warangal on Saturday. The CM also urged the medical fraternity to prioritize service motives over financial gains.
The government plans to establish Pharma Villages to boost the pharma industry in the State. Additionally, a 1,000-acre medical tourism hub is in the works at Shamshabad to provide various medical services. Aiming to follow in the footsteps of former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, who promoted the development of pharma and IT industries respectively, the CM highlighted the government’s initiatives.
Furthermore, the government is considering issuing a ‘digital health profile card’ to every citizen and offering free medical care in the State. The CM mentioned ongoing efforts to consult with medical experts on moving forward with this idea. In addition, plans are underway to revive Mamnoor Airport in Warangal and focus on promoting health and eco-tourism in the region.
Various dignitaries including Ministers, MLAs, and MPs attended the inauguration ceremony of Medicover Hospital in Warangal alongside the Chief Minister.
