Telangana, the youngest state in India, is undergoing significant changes under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. From day one, the Chief Minister has focused on inclusive growth across all sectors. He has also taken steps to promote Telangana’s unique culture. A new state song, written by renowned poet Andesri, has become widely popular. Additionally, on December 9, the CM officially unveiled a redesigned Telangana Thalli statue, representing the state’s cultural heritage. The government has also signaled plans to introduce a new state emblem, replacing symbols like the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam and Charminar from the Road Transport Department’s logo.

The government has made considerable strides in development. Along with implementing the “Six Guarantees,” it has launched 160 innovative programs in its first year. One of the standout initiatives is the “Maha Lakshmi” scheme, which provides free bus travel for girls and women of all ages. This program has been widely appreciated for promoting gender-inclusive mobility.

Efforts to transform Telangana into a “Future State” and Hyderabad into a “Future City” are already yielding results. The state has attracted significant investments, creating more employment opportunities. In its first year, the government filled 55,143 government job vacancies, reducing the unemployment rate. According to a Labour Force Survey by the Central Statistics Department, unemployment in Telangana dropped from 22.9% last year to 18.1% this year between July and September.

As the government enters its second year, it continues to work towards fulfilling the aspirations of the people and driving the state toward a brighter future.
