Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy spoke at the historic Westminster Building in London, addressing British Members of Parliament who have an interest in India. He emphasized the importance of strengthening democracy to solve global problems such as war, terrorism, and violence. Reddy mentioned that both India and Britain have a historical connection, with Britain ruling India and the Congress party fighting for independence. He highlighted the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, emphasizing the need to fight for justice with truth and non-violence. Reddy also shared his own journey as a farmer’s son who became Chief Minister, attributing his success to democracy and the inclusive philosophy of the Congress party.
The meeting was hosted by Labour MP Virendra Sharma and attended by seven other MPs and various dignitaries.
